Dear families,
Get ready—the Scholastic BOGO Book Fair is coming to our school! This is a great opportunity to build your child’s
home library with new books they’ll dive into again and again.
The easiest way to let your child shop the Fair independently is by creating an eWallet. It’s easy to set up and
easy for others to add funds.
Create an eWallet, and you’ll also have the opportunity to contribute to Share the Fair - the giving program
that supports students at our school who need help buying books. Consider participating so that no child
leaves the Fair empty-handed!
Here’s everything else you need to know about the Book Fair:
Dates: June 2nd-5th 9am-2pm
Location: Elm Street Library
Family Event schedule and location:
Monday June 1st in Elm Street Gym during the carnival
https://bookfairs.scholastic.com/bf/elmstreetelementaryschool7
Share the Fair is the giving program built into the Scholastic Book Fair, empowered by contributions from people like you! These funds support students at our school who need help getting new books. Your contribution helps even more kids take home a book from the Fair—and experience the all-the-feels, read-past-lights-out rush that we call “Bookjoy.”

Every morning for almost eight years, I have done the same thing.
Before the world starts pulling at me, I name three things I am grateful for.
Three things. Every day. Without fail.
But somewhere along the way, I noticed something uncomfortable:
I was doing gratitude.
But I was not always feeling it.
It had become a habit.
A good habit. But still a habit.
A checklist dressed up as a spiritual practice.
And then one afternoon, my daughter put on a Justin Bieber song.
“Everything Hallelujah.”
I looked at her and said,
“You are my hallelujah.”
And I felt it.
Not thought it. Felt it.
That pause. That fullness in your chest.
That moment where time stops arguing with you.
That is the gratitude I am talking about.
Not the list.
The landing.
The difference between writing “I am grateful for my family” and actually sitting with what it means that this person chose to share a song with you today. Just because.
The difference between naming your team and actually feeling the weight of trust they place in you every single day.
It is not a longer practice.
It is a deeper one.
And here is what eight years of this has taught me:
When you stop performing gratitude and start receiving it, something shifts in how you lead.
You slow down enough to actually see people.
You stop rushing past the moments that matter.
You become the kind of leader whose presence alone steadies a room.
That ripples.
Into your team.
Into your organization.
Into people you may never even meet.
My daughter did not know she handed me a sermon that afternoon.
But she did.
You are my hallelujah.
Find yours. Feel it. Let it lead you.
God bless and let’s go!
Antonio
