Reminders from TC3 - Requesting Final Transcripts for Dual Enrollment Courses - If they are coming to TC3 they don’t need to do anything. - They should hold off on requesting their official transcript until all of their grades have been posted. I generally suggest July 1st. - If they are earning their Associate’s degree through the Early Degree program, their degree won’t be shown on their transcripts until late August/early September. - If they need their username and/or password, text us at 607-367-6828 and I’ll help them. - Students joining the military should get a copy of their transcript as well as it helps with rank and higher rank. Directions - Log in to myTC3 - Select “Self-Service” - Re-Enter their Username - Hover over Grades - Select “Request Official Transcript” - Follow the directions to order their transcript through Parchment - Official transcripts are $8 per request. Alternate Directions - If a student doesn’t want to log in they can request their transcript here and click the link under “online orders”. Welcome to June! It has been a busy few weeks here at the high school! Our Wolverine Buddy program visited SkyZone, the band visited Washington DC and performed in the Memorial Day parade, and we had 5 seniors participate in Tompkins-Cortland Community College graduation ceremonies! We had PROM at Shepard Hills, inducted our new members into National Honor Society, celebrated our senior NHS members, and held Junior Awards and Scholarships. Our FFA club participated in the state convention at Syracuse, toured SUNY Morrisville, and will showcase many of those talents this Friday at our Wolverine Trading Post. A flyer is attached. Please call the main office with any questions you have about upcoming events. Upcoming Dates: --- Sports Banquet-Monday, 6/9 ---HS Band/Chorus Concert- Tuesday, 6/10 ---Regents Exams- 6/17-6/25 ---Summer Driver's Education sign ups will continue this week in the main office Seniors- LOOK below: ---Yard Signs were distributed through the main office. Requesting Final Amateurism Certification Graduating student-athletes who are being recruited by an NCAA Division I or II school must request their final amateurism certification from the NCAA Eligibility Center before they can be eligible to practice, compete and receive athletics aid in college. Tioga County is accepting applications for the 2025 Summer Youth Employment Program This program offers a variety of paid employment, training, and community projects for youth ages 14-20 . Driver's Education- Summer 2025 GST BOCES will be offering Driver's Education here in Waverly this summer. More specific details will be forthcoming regarding the dates, times, and locations after initial signups are complete. We will be holding signups out of the High School Main Office on Wednesday, May 21st, starting at 7:45am. Students should sign up with Mrs. Santalucia. Students must be 16 years of age prior to July 1, 2025 to sign up on May 21st. We only have 44 seats in the course, and it will be on a first come, first serve basis. *****We will also keep a "waitlist" for summer, and if there are available seats, then students who turn 16 prior to the first day of the course will be considered after June 2. As waitlist students are added to the course, parents will be notified. NOTE: Waverly HS will be offering Driver's Education during the school day next year as well. If a student wants to enroll in a driver's education course next year, they should reach out to the guidance office.

Currently this course is fully grant funded through NENY (New Energy New York) so there is NO TUITION COST TO ATTEND. The students will have the opportunity to interview with some of our local world class manufacturers. The next class will be offered right in Chemung at the Chemung Innovation Center beginning July 7th. At the completion of the course, you will be awarded a $1000.00 stipend. Attached you will find a more detailed outline of what the Manufacturing Technology course entails; along with the flyer which is being used to advertise the course within our communities.

Please be aware of the important calendar information below. To date, the District has only used one emergency closure day. Assuming we do not use any additional emergency closure days, there will be no school for students on Friday, May 23 and Tuesday, May 27. Reminder- Monday, May 26 is a holiday. Beginning on Tuesday, June 17, high school (gr. 9-12) students need only to report to school if they are scheduled for an exam. Regents exams are scheduled for June 17 through June 25. Reminder- Thursday, June 19 is a holiday. Graduation is scheduled for Friday, June 20 at 7 p.m. in the Stadium. As always, we will plan to hold the ceremony outside, but will have the HS gymnasium set up for the ceremony, with overflow seating and a livestream in the auditorium, in case of inclement weather. The last day of teacher attendance is Friday, June 27. Please contact your child's school main office with any questions.

Waverly Teachers' Association Scholarship - FINAL REMINDER - Deadline is May 16th. This scholarship is given by the Waverly Teachers’ Association to a deserving student in the current graduating class who has been enrolled in the Waverly School District for at least the last two years of their high school career. In addition, the student should be pursuing a degree at a 2 or 4 year college in a service field. Preference will be given to those entering the education field. Application forms are available in the high school Guidance Office, Senior English Teachers, or Econ/Pig Teachers. Application forms need to be returned to the Committee Chair by May 16th. See Application for details. The WTA Scholarship will be funded through the WTA membership, and the amount will be determined each year in the WTA proposed budget. The scholarship committee is interested in gaining more insight into you as a person: In essay format, please describe an experience that required you to demonstrate leadership. Rhoda M. Sutryk Memorial Scholarship - LAST REMINDER - Deadline is Friday, 5/16 This *$3,000 annual scholarship was set up in loving memory of Rhoda M. Sutryk, a talented individual who served her community well and poured her soul into the lives of young and old alike. Rhoda’s most devoted love was her family, where she mothered eleven wonderful children. Family values, the love for music, and strength of character were important to her. Along with her role as mother, Rhoda was a beloved piano teacher, choir director, music teacher, and more. She gave her talent, energy, and time in her community through various organizations, including Waverly High School and Elementary choirs, Waverly Band, Waverly Summer Music Theater, Waverly sports programs, Waverly art classes, nursing homes, churches, and any and all activities her children were involved in. Throughout her whole life, she repetitively demonstrated kindness and goodness serving those in and around the valley communities. *The Sutryk family reserves the right to give one $3,000 scholarship or two $1,500 scholarships.
