Students that took an Online College course through Tompkins Cortland Community College or Corning Community College for a Fall or Winter Session and have received final grades, please be sure to submit your final grades to the Guidance Department so they can be put on your transcript. Students can access their grades and College transcript at their TC3 account and CCC account. GST BOCES Career and Technical (CTE) Exploration Night Sophomores and families are invited to attend a CTE Exploration Night on Tuesday, February 11th, 2025 from 4:30-6:30 p.m at the GST BOCES Bush Campus. A snow date is scheduled for Tuesday, February 25th, 2025 should this event be cancelled due to inclement weather. The Career and Technical Education (CTE) Program offers high school students the opportunity to learn job skills through instruction and hands-on experience. Students can use these skills to start a career after high school or as preparation for college or the military. New Visions Exploration Night Juniors and famlies are invited to attend a New Visions Exploration Night on Tuesday, February 11th, 2025 from 4:30-6:30 at the GST BOCES Bush Campus. A snow date of February 25th, 2025 is scheduled should this even be cancelled due to inclement weather. Students must have a cumulative GPA of 85% or better, demonstrate high motivation, and have excellent attendance records of 90% or better to be eligibile. Welcome Back High School Students and Families!-we hope you had a wonderful break! We return to school tomorrow- Monday, January 6. Many of you may have seen that our Gymnasium is now open! Construction continues in other parts of the building, and different spaces will also come to completion over the next couple months. It's a super exciting time for all of us! January 6-January 17--We only have 10 class days remaining in this marking period (Semester #2). Please do your best to finish these current courses strong! Monday, January 20- NO School- Martin Luther King Jr. day January 21-24- NYS Regents Exams. These are TEST ONLY days, gr. 9-12 students only attend if they are scheduled for an exam. Any student that is registered to take an exam should have received a notification in the mail. NOTE: AM and PM CTE BOCES programs will be in session during Regents week, transportation is provided and students are expected to attend. An excused absence will only be given to BOCES for a student who is testing. Regents Review information was also mailed to those taking an exam, and will be sent in a follow up notification. Schooltool Parent Portal will be "locked /not visible" for student/parent viewing at the end of this week. It will remain closed for about 3 weeks. This is necessary to finalize Spring 2025 schedules, calculate final grades for the Fall semester, Regents exam scoring, and the calculation of Senior Class ranking. Note: Any Fall 2024 failed course(s) will be rescheduled into a student's spring schedule. We anticipate re-opening Schooltool Parent Portal and announcing our Senior Class Ranking (Top Ten) in early February. **ATTENTION Juniors(and parents) with a GPA of 85+...... please check your email regarding GST BOCES New Visions programming for the 25-26 school year. 2025 CNY Air & Waste Management Association Scholarship Opportunity The Central New York Chapter of the Air & Waste Management Association is soliciting applications for 2025 scholarships. Scholarships of up to $1,500 will be awarded in the spring of 2025 to college students or high school seniors enrolled in college for the fall 2025 semester in an environmental-related program. GHS College Scholarship Program January 17th, 2025 deadline approaching! For the fourth year, GHS is offering two scholarship opportunities to local high school seniors who plan to attend a 2- or 4- year school in the fall of 2025. 2025 Guthrie Scholarship Guthrie has announced that they will be offering their annual 2025 Scholarship to high school Seniors through the Guthrie Health Professions Scholarship Program. ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS: Guthrie Health Professions Scholarships (10 Awarded) - All area students included (exclusive of children of Guthrie physicians). Students must be a member of the class of 2025 and plan to enroll at an accredited college/university or hospital-based nursing or allied health program in the summer or fall of 2025. Applicants must plan to enter a health career such as medicine, nursing, dentistry, pharmacy, allied health professions, health care administration, or medical research. The value of each Guthrie Health Professions scholarship is $1,000 per year or $4,000 over four years for undergraduate studies. WHS students.... We are asking that everyone turn their computer into ANY charging station in the building by Friday, 12/20, before leaving the building for Winter Break. If you are a student that is taking an online Winter class, you will be able to keep you computer over the break, by signing it out in the main office. The Instructional Technology (computer) department will be doing an inventory of computers during the break- which means that any and all devices need to be in the charging stations to be accounted for. Beginning with Semester 2- at the end of January- class computer sets will be placed in classrooms where computers are used. There will be computers, chargers, and stations placed in certain classrooms- and students will have access to them as needed in the classrooms. Those students that need to keep a device on them at all times- for online coursework, homework, projects, etc. will be required to sign their device and charger out, and become physically and financially responsible for that device. More to come on this, but we wanted to get the email out so that students can start to plan and prepare for the slight changes. Mrs. Hunt

Waverly Schools are running on a 2 hour delay due to the weather conditions. All day BOCES programs will be transported on a 2 hour delay. There will be no morning BOCES programs , and any morning Chemung/Bus Garage classes will be held at the high school today. Afternoon BOCES programs will run as normal. School will begin at 9:55am. There will be no breakfast served. Take your time this morning and stay safe out there!
