It's Time to Apply to the GHS College Scholarship Program!
GHS Federal Credit Union in partnership with the New York Credit Union Association will once again be offering our youth membership two opportunities for college scholarship funds!
For the fourth year, GHS is offering two scholarship opportunities to local high school seniors who plan to attend a 2- or 4- year school in the fall of 2025. One application enters students into the running for both opportunities, one funded by GHS Federal Credit Union, and another in partnership with the NYCUA.
Apply now! GHS is now accepting applications. Students should visit https://www.ghsfcu.com/scholarships. To apply, students must be members of GHS Federal Credit Union and will need a verification code from the credit union that can be obtained by calling 1-800-732-4447. Fill out the application with supporting documents and upload online - it's easy!
Deadline to apply is January 17, 2025. Winners to be selected in May 2025.
The GHS Federal Credit Union mission is to help our community achieve financial wellness, and avoiding debt is an important step in attaining that goal. For young adults building on the foundations of their financial situations, debt – especially student loan debt – can put the upcoming generation at a disadvantage. Additionally, one of the biggest barriers for students interested in continuing education is cost and fear of going too far into debt. Through this scholarship program, GHS takes initiative and aims to help support our membership working toward continuing their education.
Interested students are encouraged to join GHS and visit www.ghsfcu.com/scholarships to learn more.
