Senior Parking Spot Painting Information:

Parking Registration forms and Parking Spot painting drafts have started to trickle into the main office. We have received about 7 so far. You must have an approved registration form and approved image drafted to be assigned a parking spot.
Please check in at the main office this week between 7:30-2:30 to make sure your forms are in and to get your assigned spot number- before any painting can take place!
Having a personalized parking spot is GREAT, but painting the spot can be tedious and time consuming. If your design calls for the entire space painted, it may take you over 3-4 hours and...the cost will be crazy (more paint). Be smart in your design selection and how much time and money you want to put into the parking spot.

Please come with all your supplies and paint! Don't just arrive and assume anything will be available when you get to your spot.

Be sure to WEAR OLD CLOTHES AND SHOES you don't mind getting paint on.
Any WATER BASED paint will work (interior/exterior) however exterior is best.
PREP is KEY! Clean your spot before starting to paint (bring your own broom)
Bring your painting supplies- you will need a large brush, a roller and a roller pan. (One for each color... so if you have many colors... buy more paint brushes)
Bring a water supply (large bucket you can fill with the hose at the school out back)

REMEMBER- you are responsible for your own clean up, this means cleaning any stray areas, your paint and brushes. Have a way to get them home (bring a large storage tub)

"PRO TIP": Mrs. Lantz suggests watering the paint down 25% to allow it to roll on the pavement better. This can be done in a separate bucket for each color.

The front parking lot will be open this week (Mon-Fri) for students to begin painting- after you have received approval and your spot number is assigned. Mrs. Lantz (student council advisor) will be on site later Monday morning, and Mrs. Doherty (senior advisor) can be available at times this week as well. Please reach out via email, or by calling the main office, if you have questions, or need to get in touch with either of the advisors.

There will be additional times available after school begins as well.

It is recommended that students attend classes first, to confirm what exactly will be needed for the course. HS students often change schedules and courses, and that could mean different supplies. There are also donated supplies available - if students/families are in need, please just let the office know.

Grade 9 and 10 students will be issued individual Apple IPads and a charger. These will be the responsibility of the student for the entire school year. This same device will be the one the student is issued for all 4 years of high school on a yearly basis.
Grade 11 and 12 students will have access to Dell/Lenovo laptops through their assigned course classrooms. A student that needs to take a device home will be able to sign it out with his/her teacher.
We will be distributing devices on Thursday, Sept 4 and Friday, Sept. 5
More information regarding School issued devices will be presented to families at Information Night on Monday, September 8th.

Attached is an information letter that is being mailed with your tentative schedule.
There is a lot of useful information in the letter as we start the school year.

A information packet to all Grade 12 students with schedules will go in the mail today.
About 150 other student schedules and information in grades 10 and 11 will also be mailed today.
The remainder of grade 10 and 11, and all of grade 9 will go out on Monday, August 18th.

Notice: There are some open building hours next week that you are able to come in and try out your locker, see your classrooms, and get acquainted with the building.
Please just stop in the main office to let us know you're here, and see us!
If you don't get your schedule in the mail prior to the open building hours next week, just stop by the main office when you come, and we can get you a copy.
Parent Portal/Schooltool access will open for students/families around August 27th.

Take notice to 3 important changes for this school year:
***The daily schedule for students is from 7:50-3:10 each day.
***ALL student parking is at the East End of the Front lot (closest to the tennis courts). Students may use all 4 rows and the end row in this area. Students may also use row 4 of the center section of the front lot.
***The district has a new cell phone policy to be in compliance with the state regulation. More specific details regarding the procedures, and process will be coming out to families and students next week. Next week is also Regents exam retakes. Anyone needing to retake should have already received a letter with the date/time, and confirmed attendance. However, please contact the main office or guidance if you are planning to come in for an exam if you haven't already done so.

SENIORS: In your mailing, you will receive an additional form regarding "Parking Spot Painting". If you are interested in painting your spot for the school year, you will need to fill out the parking registration form, as well as draft what you would like to paint. We will have some time available during the week of August 25th for you to do this. We will also have some time slots after the start of the school year. Confirmed dates/times will be sent out next week.

High School Families,
We know that our Student Information System (Schooltool), is not communicating with our email system correctly. This caused many families/students to NOT receive our email on Friday.
We are working with BOCES to resolve the issue.
Another app notification will be sent shortly with the entire email and the Student Information letter from Friday. We apologize for the delay.

HIGH SCHOOL- NYS REGENTS RETAKES
Regents Retake letters have been mailed to students.

We need to know who is coming to the exams......Please email your counselor or call Guidance at 948-0001 on Monday, Aug 11th to confirm your attendance at your scheduled exam(s).
Once you have confirmed your retake, your name will be forwarded to a review session teacher and/or added to the attendance for the exam.

Review sessions will be held Aug 12-19 at various times. We will only be setting up sessions, dependent on whether an exam will be given, and when students are available.

Regents Exams are on Tuesday, August 19 and Wednesday, August 20- and your letter indicated which exams you need.

GST BOCES DRIVER’S EDUCATION- Summer 2025 All students that have signed up for Driver’s Ed at the Waverly location have been enrolled. There is currently no waitlist- all students are in. Class will begin on Tuesday, July 1 at 8:30am in room 160 at the High School. Proof of a NYS driving permit will be required on the first day to remain enrolled. Detailed Information letters are being mailed to all students’ homes tomorrow, June 24.

Requesting Final Amateurism Certification Graduating student-athletes who are being recruited by an NCAA Division I or II school must request their final amateurism certification from the NCAA Eligibility Center before they can be eligible to practice, compete and receive athletics aid in college. It's that time of year again when seniors will want to know how to access their CCC transcripts. Please refer to the information on how to request your college transcript for classes taken either concurrently at Waverly or Online for dual enrollment credit. *Please Note - The Guidance Department does not receive a copy of a student's CCC transcript and this must be done through the College directly. In addition, the student must complete the process as the College will not accept a request from a parent/guardian. 1. CCC Final Transcripts
SENIORS! Reminders from TC3 - Requesting Final Transcripts for Dual Enrollment Courses - If they are coming to TC3 they don’t need to do anything. - They should hold off on requesting their official transcript until all of their grades have been posted. I generally suggest July 1st. - If they are earning their Associate’s degree through the Early Degree program, their degree won’t be shown on their transcripts until late August/early September. - If they need their username and/or password, text us at 607-367-6828 and I’ll help them. - Students joining the military should get a copy of their transcript as well as it helps with rank and higher rank. HAPPY GRADUATION DAY! Mother Nature is on our side today- and the sun is shining!! Graduation Rehearsal will be in the stadium this morning at 9:30am. It will last about 1 hour. We will NOT be coming to gymnasium to practice after, as we WILL be at the stadium tonight for Graduation. Students- when arriving for rehearsal, please gather in the small field behind the stadium fence so we can line up accordingly. You may park in the bus garage, Elm street lots, and along the side of Elm and Barker. Please know that Elm is a ONE WAY street. For graduation tonight, students should park in the bus garage lot, and arrive by 6:15pm. Audience seating at the stadium is first come, first serve. Honor Society members will be handing out programs at both the Elm and Barker Street gates. Handicap parking is located at the top of concourse.

Graduation rehearsal for today is being postponed due to the weather. Rehearsal will now be held on Friday, June 20 at 9:30am at the stadium. Rehearsal is expected to last about 2 hours. All seniors must attend rehearsal. Please call the office today if you have any questions. A Hands on CPR training make up session will still be held at the high school today at 11am for anyone still needing it.
