University of Albany Application Opportunity

Students can apply to the University at Albany for FREE via UAlbany's Free Application Season!

Today through November 3, students are eligible to receive a UAlbany application fee waiver. Please see the instructions below to activate this offer.

INSTRUCTIONS:
Today through October 20:
Using Common App: you need to apply campus by campus. On UAlbany's campus page, a question reads, “Have you been selected for a UAlbany application fee waiver?” select from the drop-down menu “Free Application 2026,” and your fee will be waived.

SUNY Free App Weeks - October 20-November 3:
Using Common App: again, you need to apply campus by campus. On each SUNY campus page, a question reads, “It is free application week with The State University of New York through November 3. Would you like SUNY to pay your application fee?” When you select “Yes,” your fee will be waived.

Using the SUNY App: on the payment page, ensure UAlbany is in the top five applications. Only the first five campus application fees will be waived (SUNY will pay them).

Please note: If students intend to apply for the Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) the financial verification process associated with the program will not give a student a decision until after January.

Waverly HS School to Home communication systems Update:
We have been made aware of a system issue when emailing families in the district. Our current School Management system (Schooltool) isn't working correctly with certain email addresses (gmail.com and outlook.com, amongst others).
We are attempting a new mass communication email system through the Wolverine app.
This is a test alert to notify our families.
This message is being sent through the Waverly Central School app ( HIGH SCHOOL feed and notifications), as well as all email addresses on file for parents at Waverly High School.
Please share this message with your friends and families at Waverly High School to assure that everyone is getting messages.
Thanks for your support and assistance as we work through this.

Requesting Final Amateurism Certification Graduating student-athletes who are being recruited by an NCAA Division I or II school must request their final amateurism certification from the NCAA Eligibility Center before they can be eligible to practice, compete and receive athletics aid in college. Please see this short video at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kT1t6_sAZ0I or easy-to-understand PDF at https://5il.co/3cayu to learn more about this quick but vital step in the process. It's that time of year again when seniors will want to know how to access their CCC transcripts. Please refer to the information on how to request your college transcript for classes taken either concurrently at Waverly or Online for dual enrollment credit. *Please Note - The Guidance Department does not receive a copy of a student's CCC transcript and this must be done through the College directly. In addition, the student must complete the process as the College will not accept a request from a parent/guardian. 1. Link to a short video on how to order a transcript: https://www.corning-cc.edu/admissions-future-students/ace/how-to.php from our home page 2. Students will need their CCC ID (this can be found in the list attached or the student can call the office at 607-962-9533 3. Courses are still IN PROGRESS for this spring. A final transcript will not be completed until July 1st when all grades have been entered. 4. Students can also log into their MyCorning account and go to MyBanner and order a transcript.
